Are you ready to earn a few extra calories before you stuff yourself with that delicious Thanksgiving feast? Join your fellow turkey-loving friends and run or walk the 3rd Annual Gobble Wobble Virtual 5K! Through our virtual fun run, you can run (or walk) your 5K anytime during this 4-day event and be eligible to win prizes
Virtual Run Dates: 21-24 November
*Participants can pick their 5K route and run it on any day/time they choose. Results must be posted on the Katterbach Fitness Center Facebook Event page.
Participation categories for prizes:
- Fastest Male & Female Runners
- Fastest Boy & Girl Runners
- Largest Unit participation (*must post group photo)
- Fastest Family Time (Average)
- Best Thanksgiving-themed costume
- The remaining 5 prizes will be awarded through a drawing
Prizes: Winners will be announced and prizes will be awarded via Facebook Live on Wednesday, 25 November at various times throughout the day. Prizes will include various items to include Thanksgiving-themed goods such as turkeys, gift cards, fitness class booklets, Run Club t-shirts, and much much more!
Where can you run or walk? Anywhere! This is a virtual run and we want you to complete it wherever you want. Participation is free and open to all US ID Cardholders of USAG Ansbach. Safety restrictions and Physical Distancing guidelines must be followed at all times. Proof of completing your run/walk can be a screenshot of your GPS app such as Runtastic, RunKeeper, Strava, Map My Run, etc. Post your pictures on Katterbach Fitness Center’s Facebook Event “3rd Annual Gobble Wobble Virtual 5K”.

The Katterbach Fitness Center is available for 24/7 access to all USAG Ansbach authorized users who have registered for after-hours access. Please stop by the Fitness Center during our normal staffed hours of operation to complete the registration process. Due to energy conservation measures, we have reduced the operating hours of our sauna which is now available by request. Please see Fitness Center personnel for assistance.
