In honor of the fan-created holiday, Star Wars Day (May 4th), is a special once-a-year celebration of the galaxy far, far away. The day was chosen for the pun on the catch phrase “May the Force be with you.”
To celebrate, the Katterbach Fitness Center is hosting a “May the Fourth Be With You” Virtual 5K! Runners will choose a side to run with: the Light Side if they are Jedi, celebrated on May 4th, or the Dark Side if they are Sith, celebrated on May 6th aka “Revenge of the Sixth”. Star Wars-themed prizes will be awarded to the overall fastest male Jedi/Sith and the overall fastest female Jedi/Sith. A prize drawing will also be held for the side with the most participants.
Take this opportunity to show off your Star Wars merch and run your own 5K! You pick the route and when you want to start. Walkers are welcome too! Participation is free and open to any USAG Ansbach Community member. Safety restrictions and Physical Distancing guidelines must be followed at all times. Proof of completing your run/walk can be a screenshot of your GPS app such as Runtastic, RunKeeper, Strava, Map My Run, etc. Post your pictures on Katterbach Fitness Center’s Facebook Event “May the Fourth Be With You” Virtual 5K”.

No Cost. The Challenge is open to all USAG Ansbach Community members.
Registration Information
No registration is required, however participants MUST be assigned to USAG Ansbach.
