Murph Challenge

Join a unique group of participants to pay tribute to LT. Michael P. Murphy (SEAL) during this Memorial Day tradition--the famous Hero WOD (Workout of the Day), "MURPH". This workout was one of Mike's favorites.

The workout:
1 mile run
100 pull ups
200 push ups
300 squats
1 mile run

On the start of 3-2-1-Go... individuals will start and finish with a mile run. If athletes choose to wear a twenty-pound vest or body armor (Rx/Alpha category), they can wear it. However, this will not be provided by MWR Sports and Fitness. Individuals will be able to partition the pull-ups, push-ups, and squats as needed (i.e. 5-10-15 reps for 20 rounds).

A scaled version (Bravo category/without a twenty-pound vest) of the MURPH will be available for individual participants who cannot perform the prescribed rep scheme.

Additional scaling options:
Pull ups: TRX rows / band-assisted / jumping pull ups
Push ups: Knee modified / box push ups / incline / TRX / wall-assisted
Air squats: Box sits / modified squats

*All registered participants will receive a MURPH t-shirt.
**Prizes will be awarded to participants for 1st and 2nd place male and female athletes in the Alpha category only.
