2025 IMCOM-Europe Army Ten Miler Virtual Qualifier Race

IMCOM-EUROPE ARMY TEN MILER VIRTUAL QUALIFIER RACES

28 June 2025 

Run Start: 8 a.m.

All active-duty personnel wishing to qualify for the IMCOM-E/USAREUR-AF team must validate they started no earlier than 7 a.m. and no later than 9 a.m.

The top six male and female active-duty Army qualifiers will represent USAREUR-AF at the Army 10 Miler in Washington, D.C. Minimum qualifying times men 69:59 and for women 84:59.

Runners must submit their results by providing a screenshot of their information which must include: name, time started, distance ran in miles only (kilometers will not be accepted), time ran, average rate of speed.

This must be emailed to usarmy.bavaria.id-europe.list.fitness-programs@army.mil NLT 12 p.m. hours on the  day of the race (June 28) to be considered for the team.

Independence Day Celebration

Join us for the United States Army Garrison Ansbach Independence Day Celebration. Enjoy food, fun, and fireworks at the Katterbach Boardwalk (in front of the Katterbach Fitness and Bowling Centers)! Fireworks will start at 10:30 PM.

United States Army Garrison Ansbach Independence Day Celebration Things to Know

When is it open?
The Independence Day Celebration is from 6 – 11 p.m. Thursday, July 3, 2025.

 

What can I expect?
There will be music, food and beverages for sale, bounce houses, yard games, activities for all ages, Army static displays, and fireworks at the end of then night.

 

How much does it cost?
Entrance into the fest is free. Food and beverages are available for sale.

 

Why is the Independence Day Celebration on July 3?

We’re holding the Independence Day Celebration on July 3 so that the many staff and volunteers who make the event possible can enjoy the holiday off on July 4. We’re looking forward to celebrating together a little early!

 

How do I pay for food and drinks?

U.S. Dollars, Euros and credit cards will be accepted. Not all vendors accept credit card, so it is recommended to bring cash. ATMs are available at the nearby Community Bank and Service Credit Union. Download the USAG Ansbach mobile app for specific bank locations and hours (https://www.army.mil/a/282396).

 

How do I get there?

The Independence Day Celebration is located at Katterbach Kaserne. The main entrance is through Katterbach Main Gate. Pedestrians can enter and exit through the Bismarck-Katterbach crossover. Download the USAG Ansbach mobile app for specific locations of the gates (https://www.army.mil/a/282396).

 

The on-post shuttle runs between installations during the duration of the event. The last shuttle departs Katterbach at 11:55 p.m. The Garrison Shuttle is for ID cardholders only.

My friends are not affiliated with the DOD. Can I bring them?
Yes but enter through the Katterbach Main Gate. The event is open to all authorized personnel (US, Local National, Contractor) who have a valid US ID card or installation pass, registered in the DBIDS system, as well their guests. All guests will be required to show valid identification (Passport/Personalausweis) in order to access the installation. Authorized personnel are permitted to bring four guests onto the installation in the same vehicle for the duration of the event.

 

What types of items are PROHIBITED from the fest?
Prohibited items include: Alcohol, fireworks, pets, coolers, glass bottes or weapons.

 

Can I bring my pet?
No, pets are not allowed. The Independence Day Celebration with fireworks may not be in the best interest of your pet.

 

What kind of food will be available for sale?
Food and beverages include chicken wings, chicken tenders, vegetarian baked beans, hot dogs, ice cream sandwiches, loaded baked potatoes, loaded tater tots, burgers, döner, soda, beer, wine, and cocktails

 

Can I bring my own beer?
You are prohibited from bringing your own alcohol, fireworks, pets, coolers, glass bottles, or weapons. Food and beer will be available for sale.

 

Will there be a military equipment display again this year?
Yes, static military vehicles and equipment will be on display.

 

Will there be live bands?
Yes, the Jim Everett band will begin their performance at 7:30PM.
