Don't miss the Ansbach Community Showcase, Saturday, Aug. 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Katterbach Fitness Center! It's your one-stop-shop to learn about Garrison services and organizations, obtain the latest information regarding Garrison community support services, and find out about volunteer opportunities or sign up for clubs and private organizations. Free giveaways are available at support service tables, which will entice learning more about important Garrison services. There will also be a 5K Fun Run included, along with yard games, a balloon making clown, a climbing wall, a dunk tank featuring dunk the Garrison CSM from noon to 1 p.m., a slip & slide (for both children and adults), and plenty more displays and fun activities!
All participants will have a chance to win great prizes such as overnight stays at Edelweiss Lodge and Resort.
The Ansbach Community Showcase activities will kick off simultaneously at 10 am, with the opening of the showcase doors and the start of the Fun Run. Registration for the Fun Run will take place between 9 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. The run is open to all - walkers, runners, strollers, kids, adults, and dogs (on leash). Parents with children enrolled in CYS and taking part in the fun run will earn points towards a 10% fee reduction. Children under 13 years old must run with a parent or guardian. Youth ages 14 to 17 can run on their own but must be registered on site by a parent or guardian. A fun run awards presentation/prize drawing will take place inside the Katterbach Fitness Center at 11:15 a.m.
Entrance to the event is free and open to the entire USAG Ansbach Community! Delicious refreshments and lunch options will be available at an unbeatable price. Come join us as we celebrate what makes our Community the "Best Hometown in Europe!"
