Helping You Settle In While You Wait for Your Belongings
When you move to a new duty station, your household goods might take time to arrive. That’s why we have a Lending Closet at your local ACS. You can borrow basic kitchen, bedroom, or to help you get through those first days in your new home.
These items are free to borrow. You just need your military ID and a copy of your PCS orders. The Lending Closet is open to Soldiers, Families, and DoW Civilians.
The Lending Closet offers two convenient options to help you set up your home while you’re getting settled: a Small Kit for individuals or small families, and a Large Kit for households needing a more complete selection of essentials. Each kit provides a ready‑to‑use assortment of kitchenware, dining items, and everyday necessities so you can comfortably manage daily routines until your full household goods arrive.
