The purpose of this Virtual 5K Run/Walk event is to commemorate the 2,977 people killed on September 11, 2001 and to honor the spirit and bravery of the first responders during this tragic event. In an effort to adhere to physical distancing measures while paying tribute, we are taking our event virtual. Help us honor the fallen victims and their family members on this day by using this virtual 5K to remember.
Participation is free and open to everyone. Safety restrictions and Physical Distancing guidelines must be followed at all times. Proof of completing your run/walk can be a screenshot of your GPS app such as Runtastic, RunKeeper, Strava, Map My Run, etc. Post your pictures on Katterbach Fitness Center’s Facebook Event “9/11 Remembrance Run”.
