248th Independence Day Celebration!

Who can attend the event?

A. The event is open to DoD ID cardholders and visitors with Personalausweis (National Identity Card) or Passport from a non-State Department barred country.

Where is the event located?

A. The event will be located on Katterbach Kaserne and begins at 7 p.m. Entrance for the event will be through the Katterbach Main Gate. DoD ID cardholders should enter through the Katterbach high school gate to avoid event traffic.

What are the food options at the event?

A. There will be a variety of food and beverage options to include, but not limited to; Hot Dogs, Chicken Tenders, Mac and Cheese, Burgers, Loaded Baked Potatoes, Loaded Tater Tots, Doner Kebap, American Beer, Wine, Soda's & much more!

How can I get to the event?

A. Patrons are welcome to drive, or ride a bicycle to the event. No bicycles are allowed inside the event venue, but there will be bicycle parking at the main entrance from the airfield parking area. 

More things to know!

1. There is NO COST for event access!

2. All food and beverages will be for sale, so please remember to bring € EUROS € as some vendors may not accept credit cards!

3. Live entertainment throughout the evening, concluding with a Fireworks show at 10:30 p.m.

4.     PLEASE DO NOT BRING:

        i.      Dogs/pets (unless they are service animals)

       ii.      No outside or personal alcohol or narcotics

      iii.      No personal fireworks/sparklers etc.

      iv.      No personal backpacks larger than 15 liters in size

5. Overall, have fun, be safe and drink responsibly. We encourage everyone to stick around to attend the event before traveling for the weekend!
