Note: This event has already passed.

For the week of 25-31 January, the Katterbach Fitness Center is hosting a Standing Power Throw fitness challenge. Participants will compete in throwing a 10lbs-medicine ball. Participant with the furthest throw distance by 31 January will receive a prize!

Here are the rules:
- Participant will complete 3 throws
- Throw 1 is a practice throw
- Throws 2 and 3 are recorded
- Although both measurements are recorded, only the longer of the two record throws will count as the raw score
- Measurement is taken from the center of the landing point perpendicular to the tape measure

Standing Power Throw mechanics:
- Participant will face away from the start line, grasp the (slam) medicine ball (10lbs) with both hands at hip level and stand with both heels at (but not on or over) the start line. Grasp the ball firmly and as far around the sides of the ball as possible. Execute throw from between legs (starting position) to up, over, and behind.
