USAG Ansbach Varsity Soccer Team

The Varsity Soccer Team of USAG Ansbach is playing outdoor soccer from April to October.

USAG Ansbach varsity soccer team purposes are:

-          To play friendly soccer games with German counterpart teams in the Ansbach area

-          To participate in the IMCOM-E Varsity soccer event

-          To prepare local unit teams for the IMCOM-E unit level championship

-          To prepare potential Soldier athletes for the U.S. All Army trial camp selection

-          To provide a platform for elite Soldier Athletes in enhancing their performance

Trying out for the varsity team:

There will be a tryout to determine the select the players for the 2023 sports soccer season (TBD).

Training:

Projected training sessions for the varsity soccer team will be held in the first week of April at the Ansbach Elementary school sports field. Training days will be Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30 - 7 p.m..

Criteria for team selection:

Potential players must possess basic soccer skills and playing experience in addition to displaying determination and commitment.

The IMCOM-E Varsity Soccer Tournament will take place at USAG Wiesbaden June 16-19 in a 11v11 tournament playing format.

Cost

No Cost. Participants must try out for the team.
