Virtual Fitness Challenges - The Squat Challenge

In an effort to keep our community engaged in fitness while at home, the Katterbach Fitness Center presents. "The Virtual Squat Challenge."

How does the challenge work?

Who can perform the MOST Squats in a two minute period?

 

Cost

No Cost. The Squat Virtual Challenge is open to all USAG Ansbach Community members.

Registration Information

No registration is required, however, to participate in the challenge, participants MUST be assigned to USAG Ansbach.

The rules are as follows:

- Your performance must be video recorded

- A time clock (timer) must be visible in the video showing the duration of your performance

- You must maintain proper form for the duration of the exercise:

1.       (Rx) the competitor lowers their hips from a standing position (the crease of the hip must fall below the top of the knee) and then stands back up to count as 1 repetition;

2.       (Scaled) the competitor, from a standing position, lowers the hips to a predetermined depth (target) using a box, chair, sofa, etc. and then stands back up equals 1 repetition.

- There will be 2 winners: An Rx winner and a Scaled winner. The person with the highest number of repetitions in 2-minutes of either category wins

Results must be uploaded in the comment section of the Katterbach Fitness Center Facebook Event by 5pm on Monday, 30 March to enter the contest. The prize for the Rx winner of this contest will be (3) Fitness Class Passes, and the Scaled winner will receive (2) Fitness Class Passes! Have fun and good luck!
