October 7th
The Emergency Placement Care (EPC) Program provides 24-hour care for at risk children in an EPC certified home when it has been determined that the child/children cannot be safely cared for by their natural parents or legal guardians. This care is short-term and generally will not exceed 90 days. This one hour Orientation reviews general information on the program for potential Provider Families who desire to open their hearts and home to a child in need.
Unforeseen circumstances may require dependents to return to the U.S. This class provides educational counseling, and family resiliency tips for Early Return of Dependents (EROD).
October 8th
This training prepares volunteers to assume leadership roles within their SFRG. Information is provided to assist volunteers in planning effective meetings, maintaining required documentation, funds management, and communication requirements.
This class provides attendees with the skills necessary to help evaluate, understand and control anger. Learn to control your response to any situation by taking control of your emotions, understand what anger can do to your body, how to recognize anger warning signs, and what to do when you get angry.
